Western Australian Festival 25-27 May 2018
The Adventure Travel Film Festival has been inspiring travellers, would-be travellers and armchair travellers for nearly a decade.
Originating in London in 2010 the Festival now screens in England, Scotland, Bright, Victoria and now, finally, Western Australia.
Screening the weekend of 25-27 May in Guildford, Western Australia it’s an off-the-beaten-track adventure for the whole family.
See and experience the places, trials, challenges and ultimately the joy of people just like you who decided to act on the dream and “just do it!”
Come along for the day or why not stay for the weekend. Be entertained, be amazed but most of all be inspired.
WARNING: Attending this festival may see you end up in far flung places!

Here’s how it all came about…
Over the last ten years or so they have been sent tons of fantastic travel films from all over the world by largely unknown film-makers. They came from all over the globe and covered every form of transport — boats, bicycles, buses, motorcycles, 4x4s and even hitch-hiking and train-hopping.
The ‘adventure travel’ shows they saw on TV, although polished and professional, were nothing in comparison to the real-life dramas that were arriving in their letterbox.
As time passed they gradually realised that we were accruing a fairly extensive and possibly, definitive, collection of adventure travel films. It occurred to them that this had to be the tip of an iceberg.
Once they started searching actively, films came to the surface that were absolutely mind-blowing. They were amazed, and excited, that adventures of this quality, old and new, were essentially unknown by the public.
