Our venue is Hatherop Castle, GL7 3NB, nestled in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds. You want to enter from the north side of the school.
The WhatThreeWords address for the entrance to the driveway is ///originate.carefully.guides
The festival opens at 2pm on Friday. Please do not aim to arrive before this time as this will cause congestion in the village. There’s plenty of camping space to go round, don’t you worry! We must be clear of the site by 5pm on Sunday.
When googling, note that Hatherop Castle is a Victorian stately home that is now being used as a school called, Hatherop Castle School! What’s a little confusing is that the delightful sandstone structure is a classic grade II listed building but doesn’t look like a castle in the ‘traditional’ sense.
All traffic for the main camping field needs to fit through a gothic arch that is 3.1m high and 2.3m wide. If your van is too big then fear not, we have a place set aside especially, you can still attend!

The nearest railway station is Kemble, on the Swindon to Gloucester line, which is 14 miles from the venue. Fairford railway station is only 3 miles from the venue but sadly, was closed in 1962 (and therefore NOT down to Beeching!). We heartily support rail travel so if planning to arrive on Friday at Kemble, local taxi companies are available to get you to site.
If you’re driving, try to arrive via the village of Bibury – Cotswold perfection and a vindication of this area for the event.
