The aim of this session is to really get us thinking and challenge ourselves about how we represent people and their stories in the most respectful and responsible way possible. To really question our methods and motives – not just for filmmakers, but for anyone who is involved in any form of “communication” or “art” that represents someone other than ourselves. To challenge ourselves to be as ethically rigorous as possible, and to consider possible creative solutions, including collaborations, as ways to most-responsibly tell stories from around the world, in the most authentic and truthful way possible.
