When Fred Spaven got his hands on a knackered, British-built, 1961 Enfield ‘Bullet’, he was determined to restore it to more than just another petrol motorbike. The Charging Bullet documents the bike’s electric conversion: transforming the noisy, fossil-fuelled machine into a near-silent, battery-powered beast. But it doesn’t stop there; Fred’s hometown friend, filmmaker Finn Varney challenged Fred to take his bike on Britain’s longest overland journey: from Land’s End to John O’Groats along a weaving 1,450-mile route, taking-in stops with fellow innovators pioneering their own green transport tech.
